Keeping Children Safe / Safeguarding
Safeguarding
Keeping children safe is our highest priority. At our school, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and underpins everything we do.
All of our staff receive regular, high-quality training in child protection and safeguarding. This ensures they are confident in recognising concerns and understand their role in promoting and protecting the welfare of every child. Safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of school life, creating a culture where children feel safe, supported and listened to.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are Rosie Leversidge, Andy Loneragan and Ally Poole. If you have any concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing, please do not hesitate to speak to one of our DSLs—they are here to help and support.
All schools have a statutory responsibility for child protection. If we have reason to be concerned that a child may be at risk of harm, neglect or abuse, we are required to follow established child protection procedures. This may include working with external agencies such as Children’s Social Care to ensure the child receives the support they need.
